PUSHING FOR MORE POLICE PRESENCE IN SOUTHEAST CALGARY

Response times, traffic safety, and public disorder come up in almost every conversation I have with residents in our newer communities. District 8 covers an enormous stretch of southern Calgary, and the deployment model was built for a southeast that looked very different than it does today.

In August I wrote a letter to the Calgary Police Service supporting the deployment of officers from the Seton Multi-Service Facility. I'm sharing it here so residents know where I stand.

Officers closer to the communities they serve. That's the ask.
