STORM POND SAFETY WORK COMING TO WARD 12.

The City is installing additional safety measures at 15 storm ponds across Calgary starting mid-August. Eight of them are in Ward 12.

The work includes new caution and interpretive signage, denser vegetation to create natural barriers, and both permanent partial and seasonal fencing at the highest priority locations.

Storm ponds are working stormwater infrastructure, not recreational areas. Recreational use is prohibited year-round under the Stormwater Bylaw. Worth a conversation with your kids.
