Dear Ward 12 Constituent:

Thank you for the privilege of serving our community. I am committed to working with dedication, integrity, and an open mind. In just a few short weeks, my team and I have begun moving toward meaningful, community-driven positive change.

Since taking office, I have been appointed as Co-Chair of the Audit Committee and as a member of the Nominations Committee, the Infrastructure & Planning Committee, and the Foothills County Intermunicipal Committee. I will also be serving as Deputy Mayor for the month of December. I have sponsored a motion to repeal blanket rezoning and supported Mayor Farkas’ motion to end the practice of flying foreign national flags at City Hall. I have also prepared to push for a tax freeze by cutting wasteful climate-emergency spending—because Calgary needs weather resilience, not climate activism—and by opposing City funding for downtown office-to-residential conversion projects, which amounts to corporate welfare and diverts resources away from core services.

It has been wonderful to reconnect with residents at recent community events, including the McKenzie Towne Christmas Lighting and the grand opening of Community Natural Foods in Seton, where I had the honour of cutting the ribbon. My team continues to meet regularly with Community Associations across Ward 12, and if your group is hosting an event, I would be pleased to be invited. Remaining accessible and present in our neighbourhoods is important to me.

You also told me clearly during the campaign what matters most, and those priorities continue to guide my work at City Hall:

• Fiscal responsibility, lower taxes, and affordability.
• Public safety.
• Ending blanket rezoning.
• Investing in core services like roads, potholes, maintenance, crosswalks, law enforcement, and essential infrastructure.
