LANDFILL FIRE UPDATE

The fire remains contained to the landfill, but smoke is still spreading over surrounding communities and will come in waves as crews uncover and knock down smouldering areas.

Contractor fire suppression equipment has been fully operational since early this morning, with CFD continuing to support. Alberta Environment has repositioned air monitoring instruments to follow the smoke.
